This Privacy Policy explains how Smart Step Lending LLC ("Smart Step Lending," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit smartsteplending.com (the "Site") or interact with us, including through our lead and contact forms and our SMS/text messaging program. If you begin a mortgage application, that information is collected directly through NEXA Mortgage, LLC's secure application system, which has its own privacy practices.

No Sharing of SMS Opt-In Data for Marketing

No mobile information collected as part of the SMS consent process will be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This applies to all SMS originator opt-in data and consent — this information is not shared with any third parties for marketing or promotional purposes, regardless of any other data-sharing categories described elsewhere in this policy.

Opt-Out

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by contacting us using the information in Section 12 below. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

Retention

We retain records of SMS consent (including the date, method, and scope of consent) for as long as reasonably necessary to comply with telecommunications and consumer-protection recordkeeping requirements.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may opt out of marketing text messages at any time by replying STOP, and out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information — for example, Colorado residents may have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing (including targeted advertising) of their personal data. To exercise any such rights, contact us using the information in Section 12; we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days, with a possible extension). If we decline a request, you may have the right to appeal using the same contact information.

This Site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18.
